Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains how Unknown Sender (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use this website. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Unknown Sender is operated by Treadwell21, United Kingdom. For any privacy-related questions, please contact hello@unknownsender.co.uk.

What we collect

At present, the only personal data we collect through this website is your email address, submitted voluntarily to join our waitlist. We do not currently take payments through this site and do not collect any card details.

When ticket booking opens, we will additionally collect:

  • Your name and contact details, to administer your booking
  • Payment information, processed securely by Stripe (we never see your full card number)
  • Limited technical information from your device for the purpose of delivering the experience

Why we collect it

  • To let you know when the experience launches (waitlist)
  • To fulfil any booking you make and provide customer support
  • To process payments securely through our payment provider
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations

The lawful bases we rely on are your consent (for waitlist marketing), the performance of a contract (for bookings) and our legitimate interests (for fraud prevention and improving the service).

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, including:

  • Our email and waitlist provider
  • Stripe, for payment processing (when bookings open)
  • Our website hosting provider

We do not sell your data to third parties and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist email addresses until you ask to be removed or until the relevant launch campaign has finished. Booking and payment records are retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law (currently six years).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@unknownsender.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
